Troubleshoot Guide

Please note IBITS internet:

– can only provide overall data usage
– has no control over data use, users or internal wifi access control
– detects the outside antenna connection only, not internal wifi distribution
– monthly service level agreement subscription supports outside antenna to inside POE adapter and LAN cable
– wifi, switches, etc are secondary networks outside of SLA agreement

 

Troubleshooting & checks for outside antenna:

– reboot outside antenna
– black power supply light must be on
– antenna light must be on which can potentially be seen in the dark
– check all cables fitted into the black POE power supply
– check red in POE
– check grey in LAN

 

Reboot outside antenna:

– unplug the red boot with POE cable (antenna power) from the black power supply.
– re apply after 1 – 3 minutes

 

Grey LAN internet cable:

– laptop LAN port
– pc LAN port
– wifi router LAN port

Troubleshooting & checks for wifi router:

– Check grey LAN cable plugged into yellow LAN port of wifi router
– Reboot if necessary
– Switch off devices, turn on and scan for wifi
– Refer to wifi set up control panel if necessary

 

Reboot wifi router:

– Unplug grey LAN cable and re apply if necessary.  Do not press reset button.

 

Wifi set up:

– type in at web url 192.168.0.1
– type in admin admin

 

Wifi settings:

– IP address 192.168.0.1
– DHCP server setting disabled

 

Where to change password:

– advanced settings
– change wifi name under SSID if necessary
– change wifi password under Security Key

Connect direct on LAN with pc or laptop:

– grey Lan cable into LAN port
– obtain IP address automatically

 

Important:

– test internet connection directly on the LAN cable not via wifi secondary distribution
– wifi routers must be tested and evaluated on its own
– ensure proper anti virus program installed

IF THE OUTSIDE ANTENNA REGISTERS ON THE NETWORK, THE CONNECTION WILL BE LIVE.

WIFI SERVES NO INDICATION FOR THE OUTSIDE NETWORK.

antenna = receiver only
grey LAN cable = primary connection point
wifi router = secondary network & distributor

Fault report SMS line:

– short message system
– log fault in short
– account code plus error experience to 0712996021
– standby support system will only be able to confirm network status on and/or outside antenna connecting onto the network
– call outs during working hours to outside SLA antenna arranged by office
– terms and conditions apply
